About the Role:
Search Consultancy is working in partnership with a National Contractor who successfully manages construction projects for both the private and public sectors. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled First Fix Joiner to join the team for an ongoing project in Teesside. You will be working on-site for the full duration of the scheme.

As a First Fix Joiner, your primary responsibility will be to carry out the initial stage of joinery work on-site. This will include installing framework, door frames, stud walls, floor joists, roof trusses, and other structural elements. You will be working closely with the project team to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Constructing and installing door frames, window frames, and stud walls.
* Installing floor joists, roof trusses, and other structural components.
* Measuring and cutting timber to required specifications.
* Ensuring the correct alignment of frames and supports.
* Carrying out first fix carpentry tasks in preparation for the second fix phase.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations on-site.
* Collaborating with the wider construction team to ensure smooth workflow and project deadlines are met.

What We Are Looking For:
* Proven experience as a First Fix Joiner on construction sites.
* Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, particularly in first fix elements such as stud walls, frames, and joists.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Ability to read and understand construction drawings and plans.
* Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
* A proactive and team-oriented attitude, ensuring efficient collaboration with other trades and site personnel.
