About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be providing essential support to individuals with a variety of needs, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. As a Support Worker, your main duties will include assisting with personal care, supporting individuals in the community, meal preparation, medication prompts, and managing challenging behaviours in a positive and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist individuals with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming as needed, always ensuring dignity and respect.
* Community Support: Support individuals in participating in community activities and outings, promoting social inclusion and independence.
* Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, catering to specific dietary requirements and preferences.
* Medication Prompting: Remind individuals to take their medications as prescribed, ensuring proper adherence and recording any relevant observations.
* Challenging Behaviour: Work with individuals to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, patient, and supportive manner, following established protocols.
* Documentation & Reporting: Complete daily records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided, including any changes in condition or behaviour.
* Promote Independence: Encourage individuals to make their own decisions, enhancing their confidence and independence while providing appropriate levels of support.

Shift Pattern:
* Full-time position, working 12-hour shifts from 8am - 8pm.
* A mixture of weekdays and weekends, with some flexibility required.

Ideal Candidate:
* 6 months UK paid care experience and SSSC registered.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with various needs.
* Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
* Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
