Job Title: Registered Manager
Location: South Birmingham
Salary: £55,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a Ofsted-regulated residential provisions. The facility consists of a 2x2 bungalow setup next to each other, providing a 4-bed service. You will ensure that our service meets the highest standards and remains compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. Your role will be to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people, driving the best possible outcomes for them. As the Registered Manager, you will lead by example, fostering a motivated and competent staff team, offering guidance and support at all levels.
How You Will Help
* Maintain high standards of care for the young people in our service.
* Tailor service provisions to meet individual goals and needs.
* Supervise and manage a team of care staff, ensuring appropriate rota and staff coverage.
* Provide on-call support when needed.
* Foster a positive, inclusive working culture.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
* Oversee and implement personalised care plans for each young person.
* Regularly review care plans to ensure they are effective and relevant.
* Promote and safeguard the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of young people in the service.
* Conduct audits and assessments to ensure the highest standards of care delivery.
* Lead Safeguarding initiatives to ensure appropriate care for all.
* Build strong relationships with young people, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and educational institutions as necessary.
* Manage the service's budget, ensuring resources are used effectively.
* Ensure the service premises are well-maintained and up to standards.
* Maintain regular updates for service users on the care management system, Nourish.
What We Are Looking For
* Level 5 Qualification in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Significant experience working with young people with Autism.
* Proven team management experience in a residential setting.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
* Experience in using therapeutic approaches for young people with Autism.
* Resilient and adaptable with the ability to work effectively with staff, families, and young people in challenging situations.
